Sleep Tight USA, Your World Is Not On Fire
The U.S. withdrew its troops from Afghanistan in the most American way possible.
Taliban have take over all of Afghanistan and millions of Afghans are in fear of what their future holds. After 20 years of military occupation in Afghanistan, the U.S. decides to withdraw its troops in the most disgraceful way possible. They pulled the rug from right under the Afghans’ feet leaving them to fall flat on their faces, turning their world around in a matter of days.
The Biden administration has failed Afghans big time! If the U.S. did want to pull its troops from Afghanistan then it should have done so by all means, just not in the inhuman way it did. There should have been a strategic plan to ensure the peace and security of Afghanistan after their withdrawal.
Thousands of people in Kabul took to the streets to find a way out. Men, women, little children made their way to the airport through barb-wired walls, ran with the planes, hid in the tires of the planes that were about to take off-and fell off mid air, meeting their end. Many Afghan soldiers fled to neighboring countries. Former Afghan president, Ashraf Ghani also fled the country reportedly with 4 cars full of cash.

I cannot begin to express my despair in words. The Afghanistan that I have known for 20 years of my life is in pain. When the Afghan flag was replaced with the new Taliban flag, I felt a part of my identity being stolen from me. I lost a part of my being along with that flag. When will we finally be able to breathe of peace, believe in a bright future, or think of anything else other than making to the next day? When will our youth stop dying? When will our mothers not fear for their children? When will our daughters be able to live their rights?
Entitled Americans are now using us to set an example of what will happen to the rest of the world if the U.S. withdraws its troops from their countries. Thank you, big time!

I don’t know what the future holds for the hurt and broken people of Afghanistan and I can do nothing but pray.
